1. The SpotMe Standard
Welcome to SpotMe. Our platform is built on the premise of real-time, location-based connection. Because of the highly sensitive nature of proximity data, we operate under a strict, premium privacy framework designed to protect our members from unauthorized tracking, scraping, or harassment.
By using SpotMe, you agree to adhere to these strict privacy standards, ensuring an exclusive and safe environment for all members.
2. Location Data & The Radar
The core functionality of SpotMe relies on real-time location data. We handle this data with unprecedented care:
- Ephemeral Storage: Your live location data is stored ephemerally. We do not maintain historical logs of your movements or travel paths.
- Obfuscation: When you appear on the Live Map to other users, your exact GPS coordinates are obfuscated. Users can only see your approximate proximity (e.g., "0.3 km away") based on your chosen privacy settings.
- Ghost Mode: All Premium Members have access to "Ghost Mode," allowing you to browse the map completely invisibly while still matching with users you explicitly select.
3. Creator Tier Privacy & Financial Data
For members utilizing the Creator Tier to monetize their presence, your financial security is our highest priority.
All subscription payments, wallet balances, and payouts are processed through our secure, PCI-compliant payment partners (Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Stripe). SpotMe does not directly store your credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers.
Creator earnings and subscriber lists are strictly confidential and will never be shared publicly or with third-party analytics firms.
4. Zero-Tolerance Policy
SpotMe is an exclusive community. We employ a strict Zero-Tolerance Policy to protect our network:
- No Scraping: Automated data collection, botting, or scraping of user profiles and location data is strictly prohibited and will result in an immediate, permanent IP ban and legal action.
- No Harassment: We do not tolerate stalking, harassment, or abuse of the proximity features. Offending accounts are permanently terminated without refund.
- Identity Verification: We reserve the right to require biometric identity verification to issue the "Verified Star Badge" and prevent catfishing.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We believe in the right to be forgotten. If you delete your SpotMe account, your profile, matches, messages, and wallet data are immediately rendered inaccessible and permanently wiped from our active servers within 30 days.
We only retain specific transactional data as required by international tax and anti-money laundering (AML) laws.
